Precisions Origins
Built on Dedication
Precision was founded on hard work and dedication. My father Sam Lewis started Precision Truck and Trailer over thirty years ago and his legacy lives in the company today.
After a successful career in law enforcement I shifted gears and joined the Precision Truck and Trailer team. The relationships made through working at Precision Truck and Trailer are what I’m most proud of and am here to help make your experience the best it can be.

Ashley Lewis
Precision Truck and Trailer has been an integral part of our family for many years. I have many fond memories at the shop working alongside my grandpa and mechanics. I continue to carry the lessons of hard work and dedication learned through working at Precision from an early age. Compassion and customer service are at my core as I followed in my dad’s footsteps and entered into public safety working as a full time career fire fighter. When I’m not at the fire station I’m working at the shop alongside some of the best mechanics in the Salt Lake Valley. The legacy my grandfather started and the relationships built with customers and our mechanics is what gives me tremendous appreciation and gratitude.

Ricky Frantz
Ricky has been with Precision Truck and Trailer for over 32 years. Started in police work and decided to change professions and became a mechanic. Precision Truck and Trailer feels like home and everyone treats everyone like family. The relationships with customers over the years are what Ricky hangs his hat on.

John Hodges
One of the first things that come to mind when asked about his first day on the job John said,” When you work for Precision you are family”. John has over 30 years as a diesel mechanic and 14 years with Precision. Whether it is your first or 100th time at Precision John is fair and easy to work with. He is here to help you get back on the road quickly and save you money.

Linda Pettit
Linda started as a receptionist at Precision 11 years ago and has transitioned into her current role. She loves the family atmosphere and comradery shared between mechanics and customers. Linda is here to help you get back on the road.

Rick Winders
Rick is one of the best in the Salt Lake Valley. If he can’t find the part it doesn’t exist. With 29 years at Precision Truck and Trailer Rick has relationships with most parts dealers in the Salt lake Valley. He enjoys his job and works hard to get needed parts quick. He has always considered Precision home away from home and has been committed from day
one.
Mechanics

Mike Milne
Mike is not afraid to get his hands dirty. He is always ready to jump
into a job and get to work. Mike appreciates the atmosphere and genuine
culture at Precision Truck and Trailer. Mike also runs his own
mechanic garage in his spare time fixing light duty vehicles.

James Waiamau
James has over 5 years of experience as a mechanic and wears many hats at Precision. He is always willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right.

John Titcomb
When it comes to preventative maintenance John is your man. He is our go to with preventative maintenance work and vehicle inspections. With 11 years as a mechanic John is dedicated and thorough with each job.

Krystal Pettit
Krystal is the “Jill of all trades.” Whether she is helping Rick in parts or completing a DOT inspection, Krystal is willing to assist with any job around the shop.

Bob Hughes
Bob has had a great relationship with Precision since day one. 15 years ago, Sam Lewis the founder of Precision Truck and Trailer ran into Bob and noticed how hard working and dedicated he was to mechanics and hired him on the spot. Bob has been a great asset ever since. Bob takes pride in his work and is very thorough. You won’t leave the shop disappointed.

Matt Ashinhurst
Matt recently joined our team of mechanics. Matt began his journey into mechanics at 10 years old when he rebuilt an engine. Matt brings a lot of knowledge and experience to our shop and enjoys the working atmosphere at Precision Truck and Trailer.

Terry Shaw
Terry grew up in Roosevelt, Utah working in the oil and gas industry. A friend offered him a job in a mechanic shop which sparked an interest in mechanics and 13 years later he joined the Precision Truck and Trailer family. Terry is an avid golfer and enjoys swinging a golf club as much as turning a wrench.
